Mobile publisher Netmarble are ending an already impressive year in style, by way of a jam-packed end of year update for Fantasy MMORPG Lineage 2: Revolution. This year saw the game undergo a North American and European launch following previous success overseas, now hoping to grip players even more with the addition of epic PvP sieges, additional servers, and more.
One of the most highly-anticipated gameplay modes since launch, Lineage 2: Revolution’s colossal end of year update finally sees Fortress Sieges introduced, letting clans go head to head in ambitious 50v50 player battles. Held every Friday from 20:30 – 21:00 PST, there’s exclusive gear and goodies for grabs when taking part regardless of outcome, but bonus rewards await those left standing on the winning side.
If the sound of clan warfare sounds a little too daunting at the moment, those hoping to find their feet within Lineage 2: Revolution’s online battles can alternatively checkout Open Sieges. These operate primarily in the same way, but strips back the player count to 30v30 and sets everybody at equal combat power and level. The result is a slightly less intimidating PvP offering for Lineage 2 newcomers, and a mode that emphasises strategic skill.
A new Fortress Conquer Shop launches alongside both Siege modes for adventurers hoping to gain an edge in battle, and more gameplay improvements behind-the-scenes also come implemented as part of the update. The most notable of which is the addition of three new servers, set to ease the stress for those wanting to fight on behalf of their clan.
Thousands of other players internationally are already experiencing mobile’s newest MMORPG hit, so why not get to grips with Lineage 2: Revolution’s end of year update now?
