Outcast Odyssey is an action-packed collectable card game which features a ton of PvE and PvP content out now on iOS and Android.
Over the course of the year since its launch, Outcast Odyssey has had a number of different cameos, ranging from Soulcalibur heroes and weapons to even Pac-Man.
With more cameos surely to come, we reached out to Erik Wahlberg, Live Producer at Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. to discuss which IP could potentially come to Outcast Odyssey next, which IP has been the team's favourite so far, and also some top tips to earn the various virtual currencies found in the game.
Do you have any future plans for more video game character cameos? Can you give us a clue?
"As you know we've already released the highly successful Soulcalibur heroes and weapon packs and the highly cute and likewise successful Pac-Man packs.
"We can’t say definitively what IP will be added to Outcast Odyssey next, but we can say the upcoming cards fit the universe and the players will love them.
"Look for an announcement in the first part of 2016."
Which has been your favourite cameo so far, and why?
"Soulcalibur has such awesome heroes and weapons that they are coveted by our players as much for their appearance as their strategic value.
"Many months after the limited release of these cards they're still being used in the top player decks."
What is the benefit of playing with friends in Outcast Odyssey?
"Cheer Points! Add your friends in Outcast Odyssey and you'll get a ton of Silver Card Packs.
"Also, if you add your friends on Facebook you'll get triple the number of cheer points.
"It's also fun to join guilds with players you can talk to before, during, and after events."
What's your favourite dungeon and why?
"The goblin-infested dungeons in Brogan’s expedition are great.
"Not only do they have a slightly different appearance from the Campaign and the Bounty maps, but they also provide a tough challenge and reward you with a ton of XP."
How can players best earn virtual currency in Outcast Odyssey?
"The new Quest System has many great ways to earn gold, gems, mastery points, potions, and battle stones.
"There are easy Daily Quests players can complete almost by accident and Epic (long-term) quests that have great rewards at the end.
"Additionally, players should “farm” the lower levels of the Campaign for gold, XP, and feeder cards.
"They can also participate in Guild-based Arena PVP for weekly gem rewards."
