Rayman Adventures has already placed among the App Store's 'Best of 2015' a mere two weeks after launching on December 3rd.
If you liked Jungle Run and Fiesta Run you'll be right at home here. Except this time there's an aspect of exploration as you can swipe to change direction at any time.
Aside from that, you'll still run, punch, and hover your way through levels designed in UbiArt, gathering Lums, and freeing those poor Teensies along the way.
Rayman and his Barbara, his Viking friend, are on a mission to recover some ancient eggs stolen from the enchanted forest. These are vital to its safety, as they sustain the sacred tree.
When you collect these eggs, they'll hatch into Incrediballs, Rayman's most powerful friend to date. They may look strange but you'll be incredibly grateful to have them, as they've got unique abilities that help Rayman get the highest score - and the most rewards - in each level.
There are three different types of Incrediball. Seekers will search for hidden items, Lums, and Teensies, Protectors fight enemies for you, and Inhalers suck in nearby Lums.
Up to three Incrediballs can join Rayman during a level, and their abilities will increase in power if you bring more than one of a certain type.
For example, if you choose three Protectors, they'll beat up three times the number of opponents than one would.
Collecting these Incrediballs is your goal in Rayman Adventures, as they'll increase the size of your sacred tree when unlocked. This is a fun little minigame in itself, as you can compete with your friends to grow the biggest tree.
Incrediballs come in bronze, silver, gold, and crystal levels of rarity. The rarer the Incrediballs, the larger the tree grows when you unlock it.
Your Incrediballs live in the tree and you can play with them, feed them, and create music with them using the Creatures Beatbox whenever you'd like. You can also see how big your tree is in comparison to your friends' here, so it's worth visiting often to check your progres.
At launch, around 20 Incrediball families were available for collection, and Ubisoft has just launched a brand new update which increases that by two.
The Cutieflowers are an aptly-named new family of Seekers, while the Furballs, are tough-looking Protectors.
Also included in the update are three new levels and two festive costumes for Rayman and Barbara.
