The award-winning and highly addictive quiz app, Trivia Crack, was launched for the UK market earlier this week by Etermax.
What it is, is a social quiz game in which you face off against your friends to determine whose brain is the most clogged up with the most useless trivia. There are six categories to go head-to-head in: science, entertainment, art, geography, sports, and history, and each has a corresponding character which you unlock after successfully beating a friend. Unlock all six and you're the official winner.
Trivia Crack has been an enormous success in the US, where it stormed the iTunes and Google Play charts, beating out successful apps such as Candy Crush Soda Saga. Over 100 million users have downloaded the app in over 22 countries since launch, which is around 800 thousand daily downloads.
The all-new UK version launched on Wednesday, 21st January and features a variety of new localised questions. Though the topic of the questions varies drastically, they're all guaranteed to cause amusement, for example: "Which magazine greeted the birth of Prince George with the front page headline, 'WOMAN HAS BABY'?".
Other examples include: "Which footballer is known for the phrase 'Why always me?'?", "Who would Cheryl Cole want to be reborn as?", and "What's the unusual name of Sienna Miller's baby?".
