Marvel Comics app receives update; Marvel augmented reality app incoming
With great power comes great readability

Digital superhero portal Marvel Comics has just received an update that adds a couple of new features to the popular iOS app.
The guys at Marvel know you want to start reading the next exciting instalment of your favourite superhero series as soon as the download icon has stopped spinning.
So, to that end, the new Read button provides single-tap access to your latest fantastical purchase, letting you dive into the action that much quicker.
Browsing the Marvel Store has also been made a little more user friendly, thanks to some newly streamlined title listings.
In addition to this, Marvel has revealed that, starting this June, anyone who purchases a printed comic priced $3.99 or more will receive a digital version free of charge. Excelsior!
If that wasn't enough, the company responsible for Spider-Man, the X-Men, and the Avengers has announced plans for a new Marvel iOS app that will allow users to unlock bonus augmented reality content by using their iOS devices.
How? By scanning in compatible comic book pages. Naturally.
Pages which support the feature will be identifiable by an AR logo. Fans can look forward to bringing superheroes into the real world (sort of) in upcoming issues of Captain America, Thor, Hulk, and others.
While you're waiting for these superpowered products and promotions to arrive, however, you can download one of Qi's Apps of the Day Marvel Comics from the App Store for free.
It's what Tony Stark would do.
