After a nail-biting three-year countdown, hotly anticipated line-drawing sequel Flight Control Rocket has finally landed on the App Store.
For this follow-up effort, the game's developer Firemint looked to the stars for inspiration, and decided to strap the franchise to a rocket ship and blast it into outer space.
Although the rules of flight may be different in zero-gravity environments, the gameplay principles of the original title survived the transition intact: land different coloured ships on their corresponding runways, and avoid mid-air collisions.
To complement the all-new interstellar setting, the visuals have received a retro sci-fi overhaul, making the ships look like they've just flown out of an episode of The Jetsons.
The futuristic fun doesn't stop there, however. This time around, Firemint and EA have included upgradable robots, which grant you added abilities and bonuses, in addition to being, well, kinda neat.
If you are a fan of Flight Control's puzzling prowess, then you should probably zoom over to the App Store and give Flight Control Rocket a cursory scan.
