Apple has launched iPhoto for iOS, the latest member of its desktop iLife suite of applications to get the mobile treatment.*
The iPhoto feature list kicks off with Smart Browsing, an option that allows you to conveniently group and view photos according to their content.
In addition, multi-touch editing lets you manipulate every element of your image with a simple swipe or tap, including contrast, saturation, exposure, hue - in fact, anything you can think of.
You can remove red-eye, sharpen or soften trouble spots, and magic away imperfections with a selection of eight specifically tailored brushes, designed to give you maximum control over your artistic endeavours.
The inclusion of Photo Journals in iPhoto, meanwhile, gives you a way to transform run-of-the-mill slideshows into unique visual stories, complete with calendar details, maps, and captions.
Finally, Photo Beam makes it possible to send high-resolution images from one iOS device to another instantaneously. No strings attached.
iPhoto is available on compatible iOS devices now for £2.99 / $4.99.
