Temple Run dashes past 36 million downloads on iOS
Runaway success

iOS endless-runner Temple Run is showing no signs of slowing down, with the freemium favourite hitting the 36 million download mark last week.
Imangi Studios, the husband-and-wife development team behind this fairytale success story, took to Twitter to celebrate the landmark achievement, thanking "all 36 million" members of Temple Run's family.
Although the game originally launched at 69p / 99c, things really got going when Imangi switched to the freemium model in September 2011, letting punters download the game for nothing.
Far from losing momentum, this Qi Top 5 iPhone gaming original seems to be attracting fans at a increasingly fast rate.
While it took upwards of five months for Temple Run to reach 20 million downloads, it's managed an astonishing 16 million downloads in the last four weeks alone.
If you want to be counted among the millions of Temple Run addicts, you can download it for free from the App Store now.
