On September 9th, MadInSweden’s snooze-monitoring tool was riding high on the UK paid-for apps chart, its #1 status cemented forever. Or so it hoped.
Today, Sleep Talk Recorder occupies 5th position on the download leaderboard, overtaken by a resurgent The Crystal Maze - courtesy of ANOTHER recent content update - and Top 10 mainstay WhatsApp Messenger.
And what’s this? Free. Music. Download. Pro. It’s not often you see the words ‘free’, ‘music’, ‘download’, and ‘legal’ rubbing shoulders with one another in a sentence, yet here they all are, happy as can be.
Before you get too excited, though, pilgrim, BSO Soft’s Free Music Download Pro service doesn’t hook you up with ditties from the likes of Lady Gaga, Radiohead, and Kanye West.
Instead, it encourages users to explore websites chock full of royalty-free (read: alternative for a reason) tunes, including Jamendo and Live Music Archive, and to go download crazy.
And if you thought Sega’s Sonic The Hedgehog was the only gaming vicenarian likely to trouble the UK App Store’s bean counters, the 20-year-old cinematic platformer Another World has just made you look a fool.
