Top 10 UK Paid Apps on iPhone
Angry Birds Halloween celebrates Guy Fawkes Night

Well, well, Angry Birds Halloween has indeed managed to survive the post-pumpkin blues to perch high above the rest of the UK App Store on Bonfire Night, too.
This week, Rovio Mobile’s fearless fowl fought off those pesky pigs and the zany cartoon racer Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 2 to cement the #1 position on Apple’s UK paid-for charts.
Activision’s follow-up to one of the iPhone’s early success stories has benefitted from the now ubiquitous promotional discount and pulled into Angry Birds Halloween’s slipstream quicker than Lewis Hamilton.
As predicted last Friday on these hallowed pages, the race to the bottom - in terms of pricing -shows no sign of flagging, for once again the Top 10 is dominated by 59p titles.
Only I.M.A.G.E’s X Factor tie-in (and recently decorated Top 5 Qi app) bucks the bargain basement trend, providing all fans of the famous bellowing voice-over man with soundboards GALOOOORE and a UNIIIIIQUE sentence MAAAAAKER.
Elsewhere on Apple’s digital storefront, Hudson’s old favourite Bomberman has attracted a whole slew of new punters on the iOS platform via his Legend of Mystic Bomb outing.
Rather intriguingly, though, the maze-based offering is exclusively available at the App Store’s lowest price point to the somewhat arbitrary first 16,000 downloaders.
Can the lofty Angry Birds Halloween do the unthinkable and retain top spot until the next major celebration, Christmas Day?
Or will a brand new contender steal both their golden eggs and the coveted #1 berth over the next seven days?
Tune in next Friday to find out.
The official Top 10 UK Paid Apps chart (5 November 2010) is looking as follows:
